Tech No Chances Campaign Urgently Needs Sponsor
By Jo Walker In National Personal Safety Day Suzy Lamplugh Trust News
Suzy Lamplugh Trust is urgently seeking a sponsor for this year’s National Personal Safety Day awareness campaign – TECH NO CHANCES.
The campaign, which advises people how to stay safe when online and when using mobile phones, will be promoted on and around National Personal Safety Day 2012 (October 8th) by police teams, councils, Neighbourhood Watch teams, local businesses, schools and colleges throughout the UK.
Director of the Trust, Linda Craig, says:
“Technology can be of great benefit when it comes to personal safety but there can also be risks associated with it and the Tech No Chances campaign will highlight practical, common sense precautions people can take to ensure that their personal technology improves their safety rather than puts them at risk.
‘Unfortunately, due to a sudden change in circumstances, we no longer have a sponsor for this important awareness campaign and we are really keen to speak to any organization who would be interested in promoting the safe use of technology to local communities.’
For more information about the campaign sponsorship packages, which range from £8,000 to £12,500, please contact Amy Hannagan on 020 7 091 0014 or email: amy.hannagan@suzylamplugh.org.
