Suzy Lamplugh Trust Seeking New Trustees

By LindaCraig In Trust News

Suzy Lamplugh Trust is looking to strengthen its board of Trustees. If you would like to contribute to the work of the leading personal safety charity, we would like to hear from you.

The Trust was founded 26 years ago by Paul and Diana Lamplugh, after the disappearance of their daughter whilst going about her work as an estate agent,  in order to campaign and work for ways of reducing violence and aggression in our society and to improve personal safety.  Since that time it has moved from being a small family run organization to a highly professional and well respected national charity.

We are particularly looking for committed individuals who can bring experience in one or more of the following fields:

  • The Criminal Justice sector
  • Youth work
  • Equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Personal safety issues such as lone working
  • Campaigning
  • Fundraising and income generation

We are committed to equal opportunities and seek to build a diverse board of trustees. We therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community.

We pay trustees’ travel expenses and provide a full induction to the work of the charity. There are four Board meetings a year (held on a weekday evening in London), and in addition, Trustees are expected to serve on one of the subcommittees, which meet between two and four times a year.

You can download the information pack below.

Please submit a CV and covering statement to rachel.griffin@suzylamplugh.org, or call Rachel on 0207 091 0014 for an informal discussion. Closing date: 31 August 2012.
