Trust Announces New Personal Safety Award

The Trust are pleased to announce nominations are now open for a brand new National Personal Safety Award Award:

The ‘Taking Stalking Seriously Award’ will be awareded to the individual, community group or organisation that has done the most to support victims of stalking, or has campaigned and helped to raise awareness of the issues surrounding stalking.

Trust Looking for Personal Stories About Safety Issues Related to Technology

The campaign for National Personal Safety Day 2012 is called Tech No Chances and is all about how to reduce the personal safety risks associated with technology. For example – how to avoid being mugged for your mobile phone or how to avoid putting yourself in danger online.
In order to increase media interest in the campaign and therefore maximise its reach, the Trust are keen to hear from anyone who has a story about how technology either improved their safety or put htem at risk.

Trust Backs TfL Bus Information Service

Suzy Lamplugh Trust backs TfL’s real-time bus information service that lets the public know exactly when their bus will arrive; saving them long waits at bus stops.

Trust’s Response to Home Office’s Consultation on Stalking

In light of David Cameron’s announcement today regarding changes in the law surrounding stalking, Susy Lamplugh Trust has published its response to the Home Office’s Consultation on Stalking, Nov 2011.

New Directory of Safety Apps Launched This Month

The Trust will be launching their new Directory of Safety Apps on 29th March to enable people to check out and compare safety apps available on the market.
