Tutors

As part of National Personal Safety Day, one of our trainers put together training materials for our Tutors to use for a “safety on public transport” awareness session.
Below are some of the Tutors who have organised sessions within their workplaces and helped raise awareness of our campaign and national day.

Lynne Main works for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and has been one of our Tutors since 2004. On National Personal Safety Day she will be delivering 4 “bitesize” awareness raising sessions within her workplace.
The sessions will be open to all staff and with places filling up fast she will be expecting to have around 60-80 attendees in total! With such success Lynne and her organisation are looking to hold the same sessions in their York and Bristol offices too.

Jenny Watmore-Eve works for St Joseph’s Hospice and has been a Tutor since 2008. On 22 October she will be running a session open to all staff within her organisation.

Jasmina Goodair works for The Learning Partnership for Cornwall & The Isles of Scilly and has been a Tutor since this summer. The awareness session will be part of a general Personal Safety training day for all employees with particular focus on lone working.
This will be the first training day Jasmina’s has delivered since becoming a Tutor.

David Watts works for St Joseph’s Hospice and has been a Tutor since this summer. On 5 October he delivered the awareness raising session as part of a longer training session.

Penny Swallow works for Youth Connexions Hertfordshire and has been a Tutor since 2007. In the first week of October she delivered the awareness session to volunteers.
On 9 October she will be delivering the session as part of a general Personal Safety training day to staff whose job titles include Personal Advisors, Youth Work Team Leaders and Employment Training Advisors.

Penny will also be using the event to launch the new Youth Connexions Personal Safety Policy, which will then go out to all members of staff on National Personal Safety Day.

A big thank you and keep up the good work!
