Fundraising Quiz
The Personal Safety Quizzes are designed to add a sense of fun to your National Personal Safety Day activities and could help much needed funds for Suzy Lamplugh Trust. Any funds raised will support us in helping even more people avoid violence and aggression across the UK.
The quizzes are a simple way to not only learn about and raise awareness of personal safety but also a simple way to raise vital funds needed for the Suzy Lamplugh Trust to continue its work. All you have to do is charge everybody £1 to take part…. You can even mix it up a little and hold a time or team challenge with the winning team receiving ‘promises or favors’ from the losing team for the rest of the day.

However the quiz doesn’t have to be the only fun aspect of your day! There are many different ways in which you can support National Personal Safety Day and raising funds for Suzy Lamplugh Trust at the same time. Whether you have one BIG idea, lots of small ideas, funky and creative ways of fundraising or just one simple activity we would love to hear about it. (Please send details of your plans to press@suzylamplugh.org and we’ll post them on the ‘What’s Happening Around the Country’ section of the NPSD web pages) To help inspire you and get you started we have listed some ideas below:
These can be tailored for the workplace, at home, within your local community or at your school.
- Swear Box- why not start tackling aggression in the workplace and at home whilst also raising money for SLT?
- Purple Personal Safety Day- Relive your school dress down days, pay £1 to come in, in your comfy clothes. Making sure something you are wearing is purple (even if it is in your hair). During the day you can hold activities such as raffles, guess how many sweets in the jar and a department wide ‘guess the baby’ competition.
- Inter office competition- this can be as large or as small as you like. Simply charge £1 to take part and hold as many competitions/ challenges as you like. Why not have more than one round – where you can hold a quiz for a round and then a doughnut eating competition for another, and so on.
- Inter Class competition- Let the whole school or participating class come in, in their own clothes and donate 50p for doing so. As mentioned above this could be a competition between all the classes in a year group or across the whole school. Why not award each winning class with an extra 15 minute lunch break, a free period or if you’re feeling very generous one free ‘pass’ each from one piece of homework.
- DVD Swap- everybody brings in a few DVD’s and then your colleagues/friends pay 50p per DVD to borrow them for a week.
- Jump out of a plane for us?- We are looking for people from all over the country to make a sponsored parachute jump on our behalf and in return we are willing to pay for it! All the information you need is www.suzylamplugh.org/support-us/fundraising-events/sponsored-parachute-jumps/
