Personal Safety quiz

Doing one of our personal safety quizzes will let you know whether you are taking the right precautions in your daily life and, if not, advise you on what you could be doing.

School Quizzes

There are a number of ways that the schools quizzes can be used. They can be downloaded and a copy given to each pupil – for them to complete individually or in pairs – and the answers could then be discussed between the whole class or in groups. Alternatively, both questions and answers could be discussed in class, with certain scenarios being acted out amongst the pupils.

A more interactive way for younger or lower ability pupils could be to have an A corner, B corner, and C corner in the classroom. The teacher could ask the question and the children have to choose which answer they think is correct and run to that corner. The teacher then announces the correct answer and discusses why it is correct and what is wrong with the other answers.

Download the Primary School Quiz (suitable for under 12 year olds)

This quiz has been designed to make primary school pupils think about a number of personal safety issues that are relevant to them, to let them know what precautions they can take and to show them that taking the right precautions to keep yourself safe is good common sense and a mature, grown-up thing to do.

Download the Secondary School Quiz (suitable for ages 12 and over)

This quiz has been designed to raise a number of personal safety issues with young people. It should stimulate discussion and answer queries that many students may have, as well as giving them valuable information about the type of precautions they can take to make themselves safer. It will also show them that taking precautions is not about being treated like a child but about good common sense.

Personal Safety MOT (adults)

This quiz covers a wide range of personal safety issues and will enable those who take part to assess if they are as aware of their personal safety as they should be – and, if not, what they can do to improve this situation.

The quiz is freely available and can be downloaded and completed by individual members of the public, as well as by workplace organizations that can feature it on their Intranet. Councils and local authorities could also provide it for their staff, as well as promoting it to local residents on their website. By providing your staff, local residents and/or customers with the Personal Safety MOT quiz, you can demonstrate your interest in their personal safety.
