Senior Manager Training

As a Senior Manager you may be concerned about the personal safety of your staff and your own responsibility to ensure the risks are controlled as far as reasonably practicable. This in- house session for your senior managers can help you to assess where you are right now and where you need to be. This course can also be used as part of your senior managers IOSH CPD development.

The session can be tailored to your specific needs but typically can include such issues as:

• Awareness raising on Personal Safety at Work issues – do you know which of your staff are most at risk and why? Retail staff, lone workers, home visitors can all face risks but these aren’t the only factors. Have you considered what other factors you ought to be including in your risk assessments?
• Senior Management and corporate legal responsibilities including Risk Management, the Health and Safety at Work act and the new Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide act. The responsibilities of Managers may seem onerous but we can help guide you through and discover ways to embed robust systems to ensure you comply with the legislation.
• Exploring Best Practice – Twenty years in the field of personal safety has given us the opportunity to assess systems and strategies to control personal safety risks. We can share some best practice ideas with your organization if you are looking to implement control measures including tracing systems, alarms, training etc.
• Implementing Policies and Procedures. Making that cost versus benefit judgment can be difficult and once that is completed you have then to achieve buy-in from staff. We can explore ways to assist manage this in a positive way.
