Course description
The course is designed to equip you with the knowledge to manage Personal Safety risks within your organisation and become a Personal Safety Champion. The content of the programme has an emphasis on the management process of identifying and controlling the risks using proven tools and techniques to help assure your organisation meets best practice.
Who’s it for?
- Health & Safety Professionals
- Senior managers or line managers
- Individuals who do not want to become trainers but have responsibility or input into managing Personal Safety within their organisation
If you are currently delivering workplace training, the Workplace Personal Safety Train the Trainer programme may be for you.

- A comprehensive training resource: new Suzy Lamplugh Trust manual for Employers and Managers, powerpoint slides and handouts on a USB memory stick
- 2 days full training with Personal Safety training experts
- Ability to promote a culture of Personal Safety within your workplace
- Ability to identify and evaluate some of the potential risks and be able to use a risk assessment tool to assist in prioritising and managing Personal Safety risks
- Ability to assist your organisation to implement Personal Safety management systems to meet the requirements of Health and Safety Legislation and best practice
- Ability to evaluate and implement appropriate control measures to reduce Personal Safety risks in the working environment, when working in the community, lone working, travelling, entering other peoples homes, etc. This will include specific guidance on tracing systems, communicating information on specific risks and training.
- Ability to achieve continued staff and management commitment to ensure control measures are effective in the short and long term.
- A Workplace Personal Safety Champion Attendance Certificate
- Offer of access to the Personal Safety Network
- Discounts on our consultancy to support any policy and procedure initiative within your organisation (within 6 months of course date)
