Following the launch of the London Stalking Support Service at the beginning of 2020, today the Suzy Lamplugh Trust is launching a new online platform for victims of stalking to access support. The tool details services available across London by borough. Over the course of 2020 the tool will be developed to incorporate more detail on local services across the UK. Initially launched in English, the platform will be available in multiple languages in the upcoming months to ensure that language is not a barrier to access stalking support.

The tool is available through the Suzy Lamplugh Trust website, and can be completed by victims of stalking and their friends and family, to be directed to specialist advice as well as services and support mechanisms in their area. Click here to access the online platform.

The London Stalking Support Service funded by the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime through the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Fund, was launched earlier this year to increase support to victims of stalking across London. It operates alongside the National Stalking Helpline, a telephone and email service available to any victim of stalking across the UK.

Suky Bhaker, CEO of Suzy Lamplugh Trust said; "This tool will offer advice and support to anyone who is concerned that they may be experiencing harassment or stalking. Research shows that on average, victims experience over 100 stalking incidents before reaching out for support. We want to ensure such support is available to assist victims to better understand their experience, to access vital information and advice at any stage in their journey. We hope this tool will empower and enable those seeking support to contact specialist services such as the National Stalking Helpline, or report to the police. The National Stalking Helpline and London Stalking Support Service are here to support all victims of stalking, and this will be an important tool to help reach out to more."
