ABOUT THE SUZY LAMPLUGH TRUST The post of Business Development and Partnerships Growth Manager represents a unique opportunity for a pre-emptive, results-driven, and buoyant candidate to join the UK’s founding personal safety charity and leading authority on Stalking. The Suzy Lamplugh Trust was born out of the tragic story of Suzy Lamplugh, a 25-year-old estate agent who went missing whilst at work in 1986, was never found, and was eventually declared deceased in 1993. The Trust was set up in Suzy’s name to empower individuals and organisations to make a stand against all forms of abuse, aggression, and violence, across their personal and professional lives. You will be working for a growing charity that delivers high value impact to its beneficiaries, through its legacy, integrity, and credibility. We are an organisation that has been responsible for the education of millions of lone and frontline workers across all sectors for three and half decades. We have campaigned heavily and played a pivotal role to drive changes in the law. We have also supported over 65,000 victims and survivors of stalking since the inception of the National Stalking Helpline service in 2010, with the aim of tackling violence against women and girls at the core of what we do. INTRODUCTION FROM OUR CEO “The Suzy Lamplugh Trust is the UK’s pioneering personal safety charity and leading stalking authority, established in 1986 following the disappearance of 25-year-old Suzy Lamplugh whilst at work. The journey of the Trust over its 36-year history has been astounding in its achievements despite being born from the most tragic of circumstances and we work tirelessly to ensure that Suzy’s legacy lives on. However, while we have achieved great things and seen improvements in the support available to victims of stalking and other forms of violence, aggression and abuse, there is so much more to do to reduce incidents of stalking and harassment and ensure the safety of victims across the UK. The shockingly low conviction rates for stalking leave thousands of victims without the protections they so urgently need to reduce the risks to their physical and mental health. It takes immense courage to come forward to report stalking behaviours which have a devastating impact on victims’ lives, and it is simply not good enough that so many cases fall by the wayside without attaining the justice victims need and want. We pride ourselves on our innovative ground-breaking research, training, campaigns, and projects. By working at the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, you would be joining a group of highly skilled experts in the field, with fantastic training opportunities in stalking, harassment, and personal safety. Join us on our mission to reduce the risk of violence, aggression and abuse through campaigning, education, and support." SUKY BHAKER, CEO SUZY LAMPLUGH TRUST.
