Fundraising volunteer (trusts and foundations) Suzy Lamplugh Trust’s vision is a society in which people are safer – and feel safer – from violence and aggression; we want people to be able to live life to the full. We work towards this vision through campaigning, education and support. Job Description Our fundraising team needs a dynamic and efficient team-player, volunteering for one-two days a week. We are at a really exciting point in our fundraising journey where we are diversifying our income streams to include more corporate organisations, more Trusts and Foundations, more individual givers and more events. We are looking for someone to come along and support us with developing these income streams through researching, supporting application development and supporting the development of social media content to promote our work to prospective supporters. This could include: Filter organisations by demographics Identify appropriate trusts and corporate organisations to approach Support the development of approaches for organisations Keep our database up to date This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain fundraising experience through a range of sources. Skills and experience required: Practical and pragmatic Strong attention to detail Excellent organisational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word) Comfortable contacting people by telephone Keen to learn new skills Desirable: Previous fundraising experience What will you gain from this experience?
