To be based at: Suzy Lamplugh Trust, Lambeth

Responsible to: Training and marketing team leader

Expected hours/and or timescale: We are ideally looking for someone to volunteer 1-2 days per week. We would like our volunteers to stay with us for a minimum of three months. Travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed.

Purpose of role: As a marketing and commercial volunteer you will provide vital support to the commercial and marketing department. You will help by providing support through admin, research and evaluation. This role would suit someone hoping to gain experience in working for a small charity.

Description of role:

  • Recording training evaluation forms and registers, imputing data into master monitoring document
  • Creating summary documents, identifying themes and trends emerging from training feedback
  • Support the training team by helping to organise our new online filing system using Office 365 and our fundraising database (basic database training will be given)
  • Research of relevant news articles about personal safety issues to be used in our comms.
  • Market and sector research to help when marketing our training courses
  • Opportunity to attend events with training department 
  • Help organising any events organised by the marketing or fundraising department
  • Opportunity to observe a training course delivered by Suzy Lamplugh Trust.

As we are a small but busy charity there may be other ad hoc tasks from other members of the team from time to time - for example, supporting the preparation of training events. 

Skills required: 

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
