To be based at: Suzy Lamplugh Trust, Vauxhall SE11

Expected hours/and or timescale: We are looking for someone to intern 1-2 days per week. We would like our volunteers to stay with us for a minimum of three months. Travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed.

Purpose of role:  As a monitoring and evaluation intern you will provide vital support to Suzy Lamplugh Trust's training team. You will help us ensure that we are monitoring the performance of our personal safety training courses and achieving our goals of making people feel and be safer through our training. This role would suit someone hoping to gain experience in working for a small charity. No prior experience in a monitoring and evaluation role is necessary, as training will be provided.

As the monitoring and evaluation intern your role will include...

  • Recording training evaluation forms and registers, imputing data into master monitoring document
  • Creating summary documents, identifying themes and trends emerging from training feedback
  • Support the training team by designing and sending out online customer follow-up surveys

As we are a small but very busy charity there may be other ad hoc tasks from other members of the team from time to time - this could include, for example, supporting the organisation of our training events.

Skills required:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills

To apply please send a CV and short cover letter telling us why you would like to volunteer with us to [email protected]

“Interning with the Suzy Lamplugh Trust was a hugely positive experience. As I had just left university, interning in a small but busy charity gave me valuable experience working in a variety of different roles. This massively boosted my confidence and helped me decide what I was actually good at and what career I wanted" Previous Intern
