The Home Affairs Select Committee currently has an open inquiry seeking evidence on what measures and reforms are needed to address domestic abuse. Rachel Griffin, Chief Executive of Suzy Lamplugh Trust, was invited to give evidence alongside colleagues from Surviving Economic Abuse, End Violence Against Women Coalition, and Paladin National Stalking Advocacy Service.

Rachel called for, among other things, the scope of the Government’s focus to be broadened from domestic abuse to all forms of violence against women and girls, the abuse of the court system by perpetrators, and the need for universal training of criminal justice professionals.
