If you think someone in your life may be experiencing stalking, knowing what to do can feel difficult. You don’t need to have all the answers. This page explains what signs to look out for, how to start a conversation and where to find support.

Distress after receiving messages

Changes to routine

Withdrawing from friends and family

Increased concern about privacy

Take them seriously

Avoid minimising their experience

Listen without judgement

Help them keep evidence

Save messages

Take screenshots

Record dates and times

Keep an incident diary
