Stalking is motivated by a fixation and obsession and can impact your daily life. This includes cyberstalking and vexatious complaints. Following you Following you in public places or while you travel. Showing up Repeatedly showing up at places in your routine, such as your home, work, gym or school. “Chance” encounters Creating repeated “chance” encounters that seem deliberate. Unwanted gifts Leaving unwanted gifts, notes or other items for you. Impact on friends and family Using friends and families to gather information about you or keep track of you. Trespassing Entering or remaining on your property without permission. Signs a pattern may be concerning include: The stalker has been told to stop but continues Behaviour escalates and evolves over time The victim starts to feel increasingly unsafe Trust your gut.
